Shannon can’t Coach.

I am honestly so $#!@ing livid right now, that I don’t know if I can write a coherent post. Is anyone else noticing the trend that is happening with Shannon’s Hurricanes? Aside from last week’s game to Florida State, Robert Marve has looked incredible on his first three drives of every single game this season. He looked good against Florida. Against UNC, he drove us down for two scores. Against A&M, he was unstoppable. And yesterday, he led us to a TD and a field goal. Despite these great performances, Shannon feels the need to pull Marve and put Jacory in, to give Harris some snaps. I’ll tell you right now, I have NOTHING against Jacory Harris; I hope he becomes a great quarterback. However, when you’re coaching a team that is riding high on momentum, you HAVE to stick with it. UCF and UNC were identical games… Marve was driving all over the place, only to lose all momentum and confidence as soon as Jacory came in.

I’ve really had enough of the “well, Jacory needs reps in case Marve gets hurt…” argument. Imagine, in 2001, if Coker used that logic and took Dorsey out of every second quarter to get Derrick Crudup some snaps… There’s really no difference between the two situations.

Shannon, for the love of God, please keep let Marve become a dominant QB and give Jacory his snaps in the fourth. We’re currently on pace to psychologically screwing Marve up just like we did with Kyle Wright.

Go Dolphins.
