Miami vs. Florida.

I can’t believe tomorrow is almost here. I have to admit, I’m never excited when Miami and Florida play, not because I don’t think we can beat them, but because they are eventually going to have our number, and we’ll have to wait another 5 years until those pussies allow us to get our revenge.
Well, it looks like tomorrow may be their day. It’s been a long time coming. During our winning streak dating back to 1985, both teams have been relatively competitive and comparable on the field, until this year. We have the talent, but we’re so young. It’s amazing to think how this would go if the Gators would’ve given us a home and home, back to back… ‘09 Canes, now all Sophomores and Juniors, Marve with a year of experience, Tebow having left early for the NFL, in Dolphins Stadium (okay, that’s irrelevant). We would kill them. I’m sure by 2013, if Florida has not canceled on us, we’ll have their number again, but I want it next year.

But back to ‘08. It’s going to be a rough ride, but don’t underestimate these ‘Canes. The 22.5 point spread is based partially on our performance against Oklahoma last year and UF’s game against Hawaii last week. Well, Hawaii has no D yet still shut Florida down for two quarters, and last year’s Miami team was just not the same team. We now have an offensive line that can hopefully prevent our QBs from being on their asses nine times per game. James is 100% healthy. Florida’s secondary is weak. Simply put, we are not the type of team that loses games by 23 points. But I guess that’ll depend on Marve’s debut. If Marve doesn’t make mistakes, and we properly scheme our defense to allow our speed to stop Tebow (IE. do what Michigan did last year) we can win this thing.

Do I think we will win tomorrow? No. Do I think we can win? Absofuckinglutely. Hit Tebow in the mouth early, take a 15 yarder if need be, and pray that Marve is what we hope he is. We can do it.

PS If this game comes down to kickers, and we have the same type of putrid legs we had last year, someone may need to bail me out of the Dade county penitentiary Sunday morning.

PPS What the f*ck is this:

PPPS GO CANES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You picked the wrong number out of the air, brother. But I get your thought process, and you were right. That game was a lot closer than the scoreboard suggested. I feel pretty good about the Canes this year.
