I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said or heard "how is it possible that the ‘Canes can’t put together a solid basketball team for consecutive years?" Some people suggest getting a big named coach, while some suggest better recruiting (duh). Now, we have the answer:

Make sure all other teams in geographical proximity to the ‘Canes suck, more attention will be paid to said basketball team, and they will perform well. The ‘Canes broke into the Top 25 last month, but just weeks ago suffered their first loss to Winthrop, which we knew would drop them from the rankings. To me, one of the most impressive feats was that they were able to bounce back into the Top 25 (currently at 22) after wins against Penn and Georgia Tech to open ACC play. But now it’s time for the true test. We have Boston College tonight, then NC State, UNC, Clemson, Wake Forest, Duke, Florida State Semenholes, V-Tech, and then repeat. As long as the boys are hitting their shots, we can remain alive. Let’s make sure the arena is rockin’ on Jan. 23rd when we host UNC!
