Mercury Morris is a television station’s wet dream.

Look, I’m a ‘Phins fan rooting against the Patriots, and no matter how sick you are of seeing the ‘72 boys pop bottles of champagne every year, your arguments of the weak schedule are invalidated. Going undefeated at any professional level is incredibly difficult. Just look at the Patriots’ struggles the last couple weeks. Until this weekend, you couldn’t get any motivation out of the Ravens, but on Monday night those guys looked like they were playing for the Super Bowl.

That said, I think Mercury Morris needs to shut up. The ‘driving’ metaphor involving his house and neighborhood is getting old. I have no problem with the Dolphins celebrating when a team loses, because it’s a huge accomplishment to stand alone in the record books (especially for so long), but until the Pats lose a game, let it be. I realize the Morris is a business man, interested in selling, but the guy is just giving the entire team a bad name.
