NFL U Owned Week 11
I don’t know if I just happened to pay a lot more attention to it this weekend, or if NFL U has been dominating games this much all season. This weekend, as I watched the quick recap shows that try and summarize Sunday’s football games in five minutes, at three or four of the games showed an NFL U player as the only highlight.
Here are some standouts I saw, but feel free to fill in the blanks in the comments:
- Ray Lewis had pick 6
- Antrel Rolle had three INTs and 2 TDs (and another touch down that was called back!)
- Edgerrin James had a rushing TD
- Andre Johnson caught for 120 yards and 1 TD
- Willis McGahee had 102 yard
- Santana Moss caught for 121 yards
I know there were more, so help me out.

The Kyle-Kirby years will go down in U history as the un-doing of the name quarterback U. Come on, let’s stop calling the U QB U. The U hasn’t put a QB inthe pros since Dorsey, and he is no NFL QB even though he still on a roster. The K-K duo is a product of the idiotic blah blah talikng heads from rivals.com, espn, scouts.com. These two guys were overrated coming out. But why, why did we have to get stuck with these two losers? Don’t tell me it’s the system, because even Brock Berlin won several key “huge” games out of pure guts and desire, as well as leadership. These guys have no fire in their bellies. PLease God for Christmas I want the U to have a real QB, real leadeship, and a new, ghetto attitude typical of the U. Get rid of these wack jobs. Good riddance.

How is it that two top programs (FSU and UM) did so poorly scouting QBs out of high school in the alst 6 or so years?
FSU: Chris Rix-horrendous. Did beat the gators though. Xavier Lee-Laughable. Drew Weatherford-mediocre at best. Not to mention the kid that was arrested and left the school, and the kid who had to quit due to contracting Lyme Disease after going wacko on campus.
UM- Kyle Wright, Kirby Freeman. Enough said.
How is that? These 6 guys are pathetic at QB. Who the hell is gauging the talent in high school?
