Sorry, I haven’t been in front of the computer much today, and Brody is still at the Orange Bowl, tied to midfield, protesting the demolition, four days after the final massacre. But here’s all the biggest Miami news from last night and this morning:

John Beck. If you haven’t heard this juicy nugget yet, then don’t claim yourself to be a ‘Phins fan anymore. After much studying of the players in action, Coach Cameron has decided to throw Beck into the fire for this weekend’s game against Philly.

What does this mean? We finally have a reason to watch the ‘Phins play this season! I’ve watched every down of every game this year, with hopes that we could finally pull off a miracle, but to not avail, obviously. Last week I posted about my hopes of Beck getting his first start against the Bills weak D for a little confidence boost, but maybe playing the tough D’s of Philly and Pittsburgh aren’t necessarily that bad. Okay, I’m trying to sugar coat things. But I’m very excited to see how this plays out.

And oh yeah, Miami is 0 for its last 9 in Philly. Super.

Florida Panthers. Wow, they really choked. Holding a 2-1 lead on a 6 on 4 with three seconds left, Atlanta tied the game up and then went on to win it in overtime. This was our fourth loss in a row, leaving us at 7-11-1 on the season. What seemed like a positive start four games ago, has officially gone down the shitter.

Miami Heat. Miami lost its third game in a row against the Bobcats, going back to last season, and this one was just plain ugly. I pray that you had something better to do with your time last night than sit through this game. Miami was outscored 31-12 in the third quarter, and ultimately lost the game 91-76.

Riley was quoted after the game saying "Maybe I should suit up…". He’s only a few years above the Heat’s average age, so this really doesn’t seem that far fetched to me.

Ricky Williams. Ricky was reinstated back into the NFL! Yep.
