Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins Recap
Miami is unofficially on the clock right now, since the Rams were able to win their first game of the season, and the Dolphins have the worst record in the league. There’s really not much to say about today’s performance, so let me jump right in…
Jesse Chatman. Wow! I think Ronnie Brown’s emergence this season had a lot to do with the offensive line gelling very well together, but Chatman has been an absolute blessing. I can’t help but reminisce of Barry Sanders when I see him dance behind the line of scrimmage, looking for an opening. His play today was solid, as has Miami’s rushing for the past seven games.
Marty Booker. Ummm, is it too late to give the Chargers Booker in addition to Chambers? They can have him, nothing else necessary in exchange. Booker had three huge drops that I can remember, single-handedly crushing momentum.
Greg Camarillo. You’re probably thinking, "Who!?", but Camarillo, or as I like to call him, ‘Bizarro Wes Welker’, was responsible for the holding penalty that would’ve given Ginn a kick return for a TD, and likely would’ve won the game for Miami. A holding? On a kick off? I mean, a block in the back here and there, I can deal with that, but a holding? Come on. And speaking of Ginn, this is his second kickoff touchdown return that was brought back because of a penalty (Cleveland). For a team that has probably had less special teams’ returns than Devin Hester, this is heart breaking. LET GINN RUN! Just lay down if you have to. Let him run the damn ball on his returns!
Justin Peelle. Nice dropped pass that lead to the safety, boner. And in case you were wondering, Randy McMichael caught four passes for 41 yards and a touchdown in St. Louis’ win over the Aints. Dear Santa, please give us a tight end for Christmas.
Jason Taylor. You just have to feel bad for JT. There isn’t a play that happens 10 yards from him in which he isn’t the first one on the scene.
Joey Porter. It was nice to see 55 in on some plays, with six tackles, including a rare sack. I think I speak for everyone when i say:
1. It’s about f*cking time, and
2. Way to disappear on Buffalo’s last drive, when we needed you.
Offensive line. For the past 10 years, I’ve been saying the one thing holding the ‘Phins back is a good offensive line. Well, now we have solid unit, yet we can’t string anything together. During the game, CBS mentioned Miami had I believe seven games in a row with 100+ yards rushing. If I didn’t know any better, and you told me the ‘Phins had rush this well, and still not won a game, I’d think your case of syphilis has finally gotten to your head.
And lastly, for the love of God, please give us a look at John Beck. Today’s loss doesn’t fall squarely on Cleo Lemon, but even if those dropped passes had been completions, I’m still not sure whether or not we win the game. The bottom line is that Lemon does not put Miami in a position to win ball games, and certainly not championships.

I don’t even know what to think about this any more. I watch every down like a battered wife or something, I just keep coming back and I don’t know why. They could have won that game no less than three times today. I just can’t believe we lost again. I still think that the Phins will win 2-3 games (Jets, Bill, and maybe Cinncy) but will end up with the first pick overall.
I still think they hold hold off with Beck until after the Pitt game, let him start the last five games.
Go PHINS!
