Bobby Bowden has announced that Drew Weatherford will be replacing Xavier Lee at FSU’s starting QB next weekend.

"But Brian, this blog is called MIAMI Sport Blog, why are you giving us FSU news?"

Because it’s just another opponent we have ruined. Lee threw two interceptions and lost two fumbles against Miami’s defense. Although he was less than stellar, I put this game almost entirely on the coaching staff. If Bobby Bowden didn’t stop coaching eight years ago, he probably would’ve checked out some footage and seen that Miami’s LBs can’t stop mobile quarterbacks this year. How FSU didn’t have Lee roll out on every single passing down is mind-boggling to me. But I’ll take it…

Bobby was unavailable for comment about the latest QB switch, but FSU info director Rob Wilson said the head coach would address the media about the matter after he woke up from his afternoon nap and watched ‘Matlock.’

hahaha. How many times weekly do you think he has to be reminded that he is the head coach?

During the Wake game, the ESPN announcers were saying that in their discussions with Bobby during the week, they asked him, if he could choose, who he’d like to see succeed him (maybe they were fishing around the Jimbo Fisher rumors, that the school teased him with the top job to get him to leave Baton Rouge)

    Bobby’s response: Mickey Andrews.

Now, I love Rat and everything he’s done for FSU over the years in developing one dominanting defense after another.

But the idea of him having to go up against Urban Meyer or your guy for in-state recruits?

Forget trying to catch USF. We’d be chasing FIU if that were to happen.
